Dental Treatment Coordinator (TCO) Foundation Course
Guide patients from consultation to confident "yes" — ethically, warmly and effectively.
The treatment coordinator bridges the gap between the clinical consultation and the patient's decision. Our TCO track covers consultation structure, presenting treatment plans, finance options, consent and follow-up — for implant, orthodontic, cosmetic and general dentistry.
Every course on this track is built around tasks you actually do in a UK dental practice — not theory for its own sake.
Run a structured, patient-centred TCO consultation from welcome to follow-up
Present treatment plans and fees clearly, honestly and without pressure
Explain finance options within FCA and GDC boundaries
Apply GDC standards on consent, ethical marketing and honesty
Coordinate implant, orthodontic and cosmetic journeys across the clinical team
Track case acceptance and follow-up with simple, effective systems
Start with a free taster, build the foundations, then earn the advanced certificate. Add CPD modules whenever your practice needs them.

Great grounding for a new TCO. The follow-up templates and tracking sheets were immediately useful.
Our implant case acceptance improved noticeably after I applied the consultation structure. The finance module was clear on what we can and can't say.
I was nervous about the "sales" side of the TCO role. This course showed me how to be patient-first and ethical while still helping people say yes to treatment they need.

Ask our teamNo. Many treatment coordinators come from reception, nursing or hospitality. The Foundation Course teaches the clinical vocabulary you need to explain treatment options confidently, and where the boundaries of your role sit.

No. Every track starts with a free taster and a foundation course written for people in their first weeks in the role. Advanced courses assume you have completed the foundation level or have equivalent experience.
There is no deadline — access is for life. Most learners finish a foundation course in two to three weeks studying an hour or two a week, and a CPD module in a single sitting.
Yes. Every course issues a downloadable certificate listing the aims, learning outcomes, GDC development outcomes and verifiable CPD hours. Practices use them for CQC training evidence and appraisals.
